Fresh Hope: Lather & Load home

Leadership Clayton Class of 2026

The people behind Fresh Hope.

Fresh Hope: Lather & Load is led by members of the Leadership Clayton Class of 2026: working professionals from across Clayton County who took a class project and turned it into a running operation.

Fresh Hope Lather and Load affords people, who are in need, an opportunity to enjoy simple cleanliness. It is amazing how renewed and empowered a person can feel after taking a hot shower and putting on clean clothing. This initiative provides a valuable service that fundamentally affirms people’s humanity.

Fresh Hope Lather and Load is more than a mobile shower and laundry initiative—it is a commitment to restoring dignity, hope, and humanity to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Through our Leadership Clayton project, we recognized that access to basic hygiene is not a luxury; it is a fundamental necessity that opens doors to opportunity, health, and self-confidence. I am proud to work alongside an incredible team of leaders who are turning compassion into action and creating meaningful change throughout Clayton County.

And whoever saves one, it is as if he had saved all of humanity.

Six leaders. One county.

Work alongside them.

Every Fresh Hope Day runs on volunteers who set up, welcome guests, run the laundry and pack the kits. Sponsors keep the trailers moving.
